Tom Walkup August 13, 1945 - April 9, 2018

{short description of image}{short description of image}

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane

I would walk right up to heaven and bring you back again

No farewell words were spoken, No time to say "Goodbye"

You were gone before I knew it, and only God knows why

My heart still aches with sadness and secret tears still flow

What it meant to love you No one can ever know

By now I know you want me to mourn for you no more

To remember all the happy times life still has much in store

Since you'll never forgotten I pledge to you today

A hollowed place within my heart is where you'll always stay.

Leon Wilkeson is literally known the world over as Bass Guitarist for the legendary Rock N Roll Hall of Fame band Lynyrd Skynard.Leon’s obligations to the band kept him away from another passion he held, and that quite simply, was to create a restaurant where entertaining the guests was as important as feeding them. To help complete Leon’s vision his nephew Mitch, along with the help of partner Lorraine, Leon’s son Lee, and Leon’s sister Marlene, have brought to you this establishment.

Happy Birthday Eddie Tillirson
February 28, 1946 - March 4, 2005

{short description of image}

Click on Photo to View Video

Ed Tillirson was born to Inez and Joe Tillirson on February 28, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia. Ed was a route salesman for a beer distributor, for 18 years, leaving to become the advertising manger of Vette Vues Magazine. He owned many Corvettes as they were his first love. He had a 1962 maroon roadster and a 1966 coupe. In 1990, Ed blew the engine in the 66 coupe. He got in touch with Tommy Morrison in Albany, Georgia. Morrison Motorsports updated the Corvette to 1990 specifications and after one year of rebuilding and one year of campaigning the car was returned to Ed. He founded the PeachState Corvette Association in 1979, and served as their president many years. As Ed's health deteriorated he sold the 66 coupe and purchased the 1974 convertible. Ed passed away on March 4, 2005, he choose to be cremated, and his ashes were placed at the Sherwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Jonesboro, Georgia. Some of the pictures in the video were obtained from Gary and Tina Wellborn's website with out their permission, and PeachState Corvettes ignored my request for pictures of Ed. One of Ed's favorite songs was Popsicles & Icicles by the Murmaids.
